We are the hosts behind BridgeSide Studio – and we live right here in Middelfart.
Who are we?
We are Katinka and Nicolai, and we live in Middelfart, just a stone's throw from the Little Belt.
We share a love for travelling, discovering new places and experiencing different cultures. Whether it's exploring a new city, enjoying beautiful nature or finding those little hidden gems along the way, we love the experiences that come with being somewhere new.
One of the things we enjoy most about travelling is meeting new people and hearing their stories. But we also know how nice it is to have your own space — somewhere you can relax, feel at home and enjoy a little privacy.
Over the years, we've stayed in many different places and learned that it's often the little things that make a stay special: a comfortable space, thoughtful details, friendly hosts and the freedom to enjoy your time at your own pace.
Why BridgeSide Studio?
Our own travels inspired us to create BridgeSide Studio — a place we'd love to stay ourselves.
We wanted to combine the best of both worlds: the personal touch of staying with local hosts and the comfort and privacy of having your own space.
We're always happy to say hello, share our favourite local spots or help with recommendations. But if you'd rather simply settle in and enjoy your stay undisturbed, that's absolutely fine too.
When we moved into our home in early 2026, the annex came with it. After nine months of renovating and adding our own personal touches, BridgeSide Studio welcomed its first guests in November 2026.
Today, we're excited to share our little corner of Middelfart with travellers from near and far.

Fun facts
Good to know about the place.
The annex – today BridgeSide Studio – was built.
We took over the house and the property and got started straight away.
That is how long we spent renovating and furnishing the studio.
BridgeSide Studio officially opened.
The size of Staurby Forest just around the corner – owned by Middelfart Municipality and open to everyone.
Strib Idrætsefterskole, a sports boarding school, is close by. That is why you often see young people cycling and walking along Skovsvinget.
